Welcome to Raup & Hergenroether, a medical defense firm formed by two AV rated lawyers with a mission—to make certain healthcare professionals and healthcare facilities are represented with the ultimate in competence. We strive in all we do to take care of our clients in every way—legally, psychologically and spiritually. We are well aware that we are licensed as “Attorneys at Law and Counselors in Equity.” In many of our matters we spend as much time counseling as we do in “lawyering.” Our clients often are devastated at the injuries and loss of life that underlies malpractice litigation. We focus on client wellness as well as defensibility of a given claim.

Our mission includes helping hospital medical staffs to insure that their members receive the rights guaranteed to them by state and federal law as we help them protect against unsafe or disruptive physician staff members, through a working knowledge of the Health Care Quality Improvement Act (HCQIA). We also represent individual healthcare providers before their state licensing boards. We have substantial experience in the representation of impaired providers in need of treatment for substance abuse or mental health issues.

Finally, we advise and defend Long Term Care facilities in connection with Medicare investigations, Arizona Protective Services Act investigations or litigation. We have actively participated in tort reform efforts and have achieved significant legislative reform.
